Yep.  I'm following up with the surgeon February 23.  Last time I saw him (Sept) he said "Some people aren't glad they had the surgery until a year out."  I was a bit taken aback by that.  He never mentioned…

I'm still dealing with lateral / outside of foot pains and am now about 6 weeks out.  Even though I am trying not to, it seems like my weight is on the outside edge of the foot when I walk or stand...almost like that section of the foot is…

Kim, you may have stopped monitoring the discussions here; and quite understandable if you have, but I have some questions for you.

I started swimming with pf in order to do some sort of cardio vascular. I wear crocs with orthotics to the pool edge. I try not to push off the side too much with my feet as that has upset my feet on occasion

Surgery was Friday, post op visit tomorrow.   The surgery itself only took 15 minutes.  He didn't have to cut the calf muscle like he thought.  I'm thankful for that but hope that I don't end up with the set back…

11 weeks post PF Release

Hi All,

I know it's been a while since I've updated....but you know what they say, "no news is good news."

I just wanted to let you all know that I am doing great since PF release surgery on April 13th, 2011.  It has been about 11 weeks since I had the procedure.  I'm not going to lie, it was a hard recovery, especially weeks 6-9.   As you may recall, I had been doing really well and my doctor took me out of the black boot, with instructions to start walking…

Kim I hope you are recovering well. I haven't been on the site much so i haven't kept up. However, I have found some relief. I don't want to jinx it, but the last couple of weeks I am starting to feel much better. The only thing I am doing differently is taking supplements including an acai berry juice that I've mentioned before and the difference has been amazing. I think I will have to take it easy for awhile and continue stretching, etc., and plan to check into custom orthodics so keep it from coming back full force, but looks like I've dodged the surgery bullet, at least for now. Keeping my fingers crossed. By the way, the juice is called Mona Vie and it is ridiculously expensive but since I've been drinking it as directed, I've had major relief. I hope I don't have to drink it forever, but it's sure nice to walk again.

I am so confused. My dr said my surgery would take 20 min or so,while he wason the ligament he was going to remove the heel spur too. Crutches for 14 days,no weight bearing and 10 days stitches out.4-6 weeks in surgical shoe...Your surgery sound soooo much worse. Help me make sense!
