Plantar Fasciitis

Support Group & Health Community

Hi everyone,
I have been sufferinf plantar fascitiss for 6 months. At the very beginning i didnt care about the pain, i thought it would go somehow, like any other injuiry. But as the time passes by, i now realised thatb, this is one of the best injuries ever and takes time to heal. Desperately like most of you, i search through the internet for some relief. I got divorced vey new , i have a 3 years old cuest daughter and i have to work.

I tried vicks and honey mixture and message and sleep with it until morning, it helped a little more than other treatments.

I have pain all day long. I had cortisone injections , psychial therapy, speacil shoes and inserts, icing and gels and drugs nothing helped. I wish it was a broken leg , it would be better than to have PF.
I will try to use night splints. Any recommendations will be appreciated :((

I also have had plantar fasciitis for over a year. I dealt with the pain until I could barely walk before I went to the doctor. He diagnosed it as plantar fasciitis and sold me the custom orthotics for $300.00. They helped some but still was in a lot of pain. Searching online for relief I came across website for KURU shoes. I gave them a try and it was the best decision I made. In no time my pain was nearly gone. I'm on my feet all day long with no problems. I love them so much I recently ordered another pair. Here is a link to their website http://www.kurufootwear.com

give them a try!

Mike,

Do you use your orthotics in the kuru shoes?  Or, do you use the shoes without the orthotics?  I just hit 10 months with this accursed condition.  Since I shortened my work week by one day, I have noticed some improvement, but still have the bad days.

Currently, I use sas time out shoes recommended by the foot doc.  He cut the insoles to fit the orthotics and placed a flat insole on top of the orthotic.  Anyway, let me know.

Lenny

   hey Leonard,

No I don't use orthotics with my kuru shoes, they have an insole that heat molds to your feet as you wear them. Have you checked out their website? It has some good info.  If you decide to order some let me know I can give you a referral to save you $10 off your order. So I hope this helps.

Mike,

I haven't ordered any shoes yet; have only begun my research on shoes.  I have several of them bookmarked including kuru now.  I have keens, danner, and a few more...but if I buy kuru, I'll let you know.  Thanks for the response.

Lenny

Hey Mike,

I am going to order some Kuru shoes...go ahead and send me your $10.00 off referral...thanks a million,

Lenny
