Plantar Fasciitis

The Plantar Fasciitis Community Will Help

I have had PF for over 2 years.  I have tried everything to where I am now down to 2 options - either plantar fascia release surgery or platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections.

I have some questions about the PRP injections and am wondering if anyone has answers based on experience.  I have an understanding of what the procedure is and the theory behind why it works; however, I'm looking for the REAL answers from people who have been through this:

How much does it hurt?  Are the injections any worse than cortisone injections?  How much and for how long does your foot hurt after injections?  Do you have to be in a boot or on crutches?  And finally, does it work?  From what I've read it is still not a cure-all.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this a try before I let them cut into my foot, but I'm trying to find answers other than what I'm finding in articles on the internet (i.e., "will experience increased inflammation.......").

Looking for some real answers.

Thanks for your help!
