Platelet rich plasma treatment
Has anyone out there had platelet rich plasma treatment (PRP) for Plantar Fasciitis? Could you tell me about your experience please?

Not covered by my insurance was one reason why I didn't have it. Plus having too few platelets to begin with didn't make me a good candidate. Maybe someone will have had it here.

Thanks Caroline for taking the time to reply. I hear that Tiger Woods had it when he had trouble with his knee but am really looking for someone who has had success, or otherwise, for plantar fasciitis

I think if you search the forum, you may come across a few people who have had it. I think I saw some messages a while ago there. My ortho did mention it for my foot, but between no insurance coverage (due to its experimental status) and my platelet issue, I said no thanks. He told me it would've been about $750 per foot.
