The Plantar Fasciitis Community Will Help
I'm new to this site and suffer from Plantar Fasciitis. I have talked with my doctor and told to do strengthening exercises and stretchs which i have been doing for a few months now. When talking about it again he kept telling me to do the same things which have been of no help. The pain gets worse throughout the day regardless of what i do or don't do. It hurts to the point of not being able to barely be able to use it. I have an 11 month old son and 2 older kids 9 and 6 so this makes it difficult to take care of them. Can anyone give me any suggestions of what eles there is I can do or how I may be able to go about getting my doctor to listen? PLEASE......
THANK YOU

Be sure to have something between the cold and your foot (like a sock-NOT barefoot!) and ice for about 20 minutes 2 - 3 times a day if possible. Even once might be beneficial=since you have 3 kids to take care of (my 3 are now 25-31). You've probably already been rolling something, like a tennis ball, on your arch, but if you haven't, that might help too. Has your doctor suggested taking an anti-inflammatory? That might help too. I was taking one for my arthritis and my feet were still really sore, but they probably would've been a whole lot worse if I hadn't been taking it. I also use an non-prescription anti-inflammatory ointment on them. I have now had the surgery on one foot and am basically pain-free with that foot 95% of the time, but I still put that stuff on my feet (along with my knees, shoulders, hips etc).
