The Plantar Fasciitis Community Will Help

I have pf pretty bad for a 2nd time. The only thing is with this episode I have noticed that my little toe started to get numb.  Now the numbness extends from my little toe all the way down the outside/bottom of my foot but the heel pain is more toward the front inner side of my heel.  Has anyone else experienced this.  Could the numbness be from the swelling pressing on a nerve, or should I be concerned about it being something more serious?

The numbness is from nerve compression. When a person has recurring pf, compensatory weight bearing on the outside of the foot will cause digital nerve impingement, which will resolve when the pressure is relieved. I've never encountered a serious problem stemming from isolated little toe numbness.

I have numbness too.  Usually in the heel area, but sometimes it moves around.

I had some numbness in my ankles after getting pf which caused a lot of leg weakness.  Ended up at a neurologist doing all kinds of expensive tests which were inconclusive.  Eventually it just went away after about a month and a half.  It sure was odd though.  In my situation I think it may have been from walking different due to the pf which put added pressure on some of my other nerves, maybe even pinching a nerve. But I really don't know exactly what it was from.   I am curious as to how you ended up w pf again and how long has it been since you first had it? I worry about getting it again as I am trying to get back into jogging and biking again.
