The Plantar Fasciitis Community Will Help
Hi, I had had PF for over 8 yrs. 5 or 6 yrs ago i went through the Ultrasonic Sonar treatment and it worked for about 4 yrs. The pain came back about 6 months ago and is getting much worse. The problem is i can not find anyone who has this machine anymore. I understand it is not covered by Insurance.
I have had the injections, the orthotics, even the nerve burn. but still no relief. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Garry

Permalink Reply by Elizabeth Hoy on April 20, 2010 at 7:39pm if it were possible I would go through a foot transplant. Today i went shopping and i had to look for a place for sitting down after twenty minutes cause my feet were aching awfully. Standing up looking at clothes is a torture. What kind of life is this?. I am very upset.

Have you tried pain meds? I am on hydrocodone. I only take one if I play golf or go shopping. I ice my foot down afterwards. I am always looking for a place to sit. I also take gabapentin. It is because one symtom is like nerve damage on the side of the foot near the little toes. Very hard to get shoes that don't hurt. Tried lots but Easy Spirit had sneakers that work with an added foam insert. Today I have started steroid pills. 7 day regiment. This is because my doc says the shots of steroids are painful. She is trying to find Dr. to do theSonar treatment.

Permalink Reply by Elizabeth Hoy on April 21, 2010 at 6:42am Hi Elizabeth - I have had this PF bilaterally for almost three years . . . I have been wearing Easy Spirit shoes also . . . they seem to be the most comfortable right now - not great - but certainly more comfortable than others I have tried and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on - I was just wondering what type of Easy Spirit you are wearing?
Thanks, Sue
