With PF, does anyone ever get the sensation that they are walking on something? When im wearing shoes sometimes it feels like something is in my shoe, like my sock is bunched up or something, but nothing is there. Does anyone else get this with PF?

Yes! Mine feels like a rock. Ice seems to help, if you have the time to sit still and ice it.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, sometimes I ice it but as soon as im back on my feet it doesnt take long for my foot to get angry again. Has anything else helped you...night splints etc.?? I have been dealing with this about 2 months.

Your foot is angry? That is such a perfect description! That's how mine feels, all day. I am on my feet all day at work. So far, nothing helps me exept staying off of it. I have had 12 therapy sessions, medication, home exersize, and a night splint. Really starting to have doubts about the therapy. The injections are next I guess, but I'm not sure I can handle it. Have you had an xray? Have you seen a doctor? I think the shoe you wear matters a lot, and maybe a gel insert would be helpful too. Stretching your calf muscle is supposed to help.
Yeah, i work in a hospital so im on my feet all day too. My doctor first started me with the power step insole that he sells in the office and stretching exercises. The insole has helped some. When i went back i got the x rays and the first injection. The injection helped for about 3 weeks. Im trying new shoes now. I know when i go back its going to be another injection and casting for the custom orthotics. I asked about the night splint and my doc is not to keen on those. I may get one anyway. I will try anything. I even bought those $200 Z coil shoes. Freaky. As for the shot, its not too painful, just uncomfortable. Its worth a try. You have to play their game. They are going to get the most money out of you they can.

Wow, sounds lilke you've already tried everything. Also sounds like there is no set treatment. My doc is against the injections, because (he says) they can cause more damage in the long run. He believes in stretching, iceing, and rest. Not really an option for us, since we are on our feet 40 plus hours a week. I had no idea how chronic, or painful, this PF would be. A coworker of mine had it, and just replaces her shoes every 3 months, with new inserts she buys at the drug store. Who knows. Sometimes I feel nauseated from the pain. I guess I should count my blessings, I have heard of people who have it in both feet!
