Plantar Fasciitis

The Plantar Fasciitis Community Will Help

I had the treatment done for my PF about 5-6 yrs ago and it worked for me until almost a yr ago.

I was told that no one offers the tretment anymore because the procedure is not covered by Insurance Companies.

I am willing to go out of pocket for relief.

Any Ideas?

If you mean the radiofrequency ablation procedure, I just had it done in May in Columbus, Ohio. It was a covered procedure under my Aetna insurance.
radio frequency ablation is not the same thing.

Joni, DID IT HELP? I came very close to knocking the Dr across the room, It was very uncomfortable or at least mine was. and i received no relief from it at all. There were three others having it done the same day. and none of us had positive results.

My doctor wants to do this. Has it helped anyone?
Betsy, I guess everyone is different. but the only thing it did for me was cause pain. There were three of us in the office that day having it done. and on the return visit we were all there again and none of us had any relief.
I did go back and had a second ESWT treatment done and it is helping. I had that done in my right foot 5 years ago and have not had a pain since. Now my left is on the way to recovery.

Good Luck.

Garry, My podiatrist just bought a machine a month ago. I was his fourth or fifth patient he used it on. He is located near the Santa Anita Racetrack in Arcadia, California. I don't know where you live. I don't know if it is ok to post doctors names and contact info, but I can either post it or send you a message.
